Teaching Independent Life Skills
Independence is a vital skill that lays the foundation for success and self-sufficiency in a person’s life. At Simplify for Behavioral Services, we recognize the importance of teaching independent life skills from an early age to children with Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD) and other developmental challenges.
Our programs focus on equipping children with essential daily living skills through evidence-based Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA) techniques. For younger children, we teach foundational life skills such as:
- Toileting
- Handwashing
- Brushing teeth
- Getting dressed and undressed
- Eating skills
These skills are introduced early to ensure that children build independence gradually and naturally, avoiding delays in critical developmental milestones.
