Children with Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD) often experience challenges in communication, making it difficult for them to express their wants and needs. As a result, they may engage in problematic behaviors as a way of meeting these needs. At Simplify Center for Behavioral Services, we take a comprehensive approach to understanding the root causes of these behaviors.

We begin by examining the child’s environment to identify the triggers and functions of the problematic behavior. This allows us to develop a Behavior Intervention Plan (BIP) tailored to the individual child. Our goal is to reduce or eliminate these problem behaviors while simultaneously teaching new, functional skills that can better meet the child’s needs in a positive and constructive way.
